Street Art in Valencia, Spain

There’s a cool street art gallery near the Mercado Central in Valencia

This photo didn’t capture the golden glow on the cathedral bell tower juxtaposed against the street art

It’s Easter school holidays (påskeferie) and we took advantage of living on the top of Europe, cheap direct flights to Barcelona with Norwegian airline, cheap accommodation through and decided to put our years of study of Spanish language to use. We have come to Valencia because it’s warm and sunny here (it was snowing when we left Trondheim).

This sounds like a ridiculous problem to have but it’s not easy to choose where to take a holiday. We are in Trondheim for only 2 years so our opportunities are finite and there are plenty of countries that we haven’t visited in Europe. We are stuck between exploring somewhere new and exploiting somewhere we liked in the past. My husband and I came to Valencia in 2003 for 1 night and we liked it. There are lots of parks and an aquarium and Valencia has Easter processions so we have come to enjoy it all.

We are not religious but we like the tranquility of mass and we plan to attend a couple while we are here

And a nice door too

I love this playground at Barceló Sants railway station in Barcelona! There are stairs inside the dragon and slides inside the tail and wings
