Living with intent, social engagement, learning, growing, giving
I love Berlin. I think it’s my favourite city. It’s so alive and multicultural. The museums are astonishing and the public art is amazing. Canberra, Australia where I lived until July and Trondheim, Norway where I now live by comparison are very dull but small and convenient and both have forests within walking distance and are very liveable towns.
This sculpture in Senefelderplatz is of Johann Alois Senefelder, a German actor and playwright who invented the printing technique of lithography in 1796.
In June 2001 more than 100 bears were created and placed around Berlin as a street art project. In Warsaw in 2005 we saw lots of cows that were inspired by these bears and now finally I got to see some of the bears!
